Our services are founded in the belief that those we serve should be given the respect and dignity that all people deserve, while also providing medical and behavioral support that they may need. If you choose to work in this field, you can give individuals with disabilities the pride of living an everyday life.

As a Direct Support Professional, you get to practice your profession while fostering choice, control, health and safety for the clients we serve.

In our Residential Program, DSP’s work varies based on the needs of the residents. You may work with a few roommates in one home or go between any of the 15 homes in our community. In this role, you will partner with individuals and assist with daily activities such as: household management, meal preparation, shopping and community-based appointments. You will work daily with residents to provide ongoing support, guidance and role modeling and enable improvement in things like personal responsibility, social skills, community living skills and behavior. Aide staff at our Adult Training Facility help to coordinate and carry out recreational activities based on individuals’ interests and needs. We look for caring, enthusiastic staff that can encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation and fulfillment, and teach daily living skills.

We offer full-time, part-time, and emergency relief positions throughout the Agency. Our training program is thorough and paid; it must be successfully completed to obtain employment with LCARC. We pride ourselves in giving support to staff at all times, especially in the learning period. LCARC also provides a comprehensive benefit package for full-time employees, at no cost to them. We believe our competitive pay rate and earned paid time off are well deserved for those who participate in such important work.

Must be 18 years or older to apply. A valid driver’s license and high school diploma or equivalent are required. The Agency will pay for all pre-employment screenings (background and drug)
